I recently returned from Ahmedabad, India where I attended TRICO 2009 to learn more about TRI techniques.
For those who might not be familiar with TRICO, it is an annual event of five years that demonstrates transradial techniques with an emphasis on live case presentations.
The cases were excellent. The transmission was high-quality a similar to that at TCT each year, although these were all radial-access interventions.
There was a great variety of challenging coronary and cerebro/peripheral vascular interventional cases that were expertly demonstrated by the operators with useful commentary from knowledgeable moderators.
TRICO is the only dedicated, well-attended TRI course that I know of, so I could not stay away.
I was fortunate to be able to spend additional time with Dr. Tejas Patel and his interventional team after the meeting to learn even more.
